New website

Our fantastic new website from Pixelmakers

Finally, after a couple of months of development and design, we're pleased to announce our new website!

After many years of honourable service, our old website (which was a fantastic job by Flurk design) has retired and made way for our new website, designed and produced by Shropshire web design firm Pixelmakers Limited.

With what started out as quite a complex set of requirements, Pixelmakers broke-down every aspect of the It's a Girl Thing specification, and built a website which will last for many years...

"The website itself is based on a content managed system, allowing Lisa [owner of It's a Girl Thing] and her team to edit every aspect. We wrote the whole thing from the ground upwards based on Lisa's requirements.

"As with all our projects, we don't just 'do what the customer wants', but we build something which is beyond expectation. The project has been a very lengthy process as Lisa really had some exacting requirements and knew specifically what she was looking for. The result was worth it, we think, as the end product is a completely user manageable site which should serve well for many years.

We wanted something with a bit more flair, and under suggestions from Chris at Pixelmakers, we got rid of any ideas which would add clutter or distraction, and settled for a gorgeously themed site. From the twinkling stars around our logo, to the 'glitter dust' when you move your mouse around, we wanted everything just perfect.
